The dates above are based on the Thai calendar. You may notice that the dates may differ slightly to the new and full moon days of the Chinese lunar calendar.

A day prior to the new/full moon observance day, the nuns will shave their hair. And on each observance day, the nuns and 8 preceptors would gather together for chanting. The schedule changes- sometimes Khun Mae may ask for then to chant together everyday- other times it is to chant on their own in kuti. But usually, on observance day, all will gather and chant together in the hall for both morning/evening chanting. Nearby villagers would also join in the evening chanting on observance days.

Still, Khun Mae has said, everyday is a good day for practice- it should be now, in the present instead of planning for the future, in which is not certain.
