Wesak Day began with early morning chanting right before almsround:
Our novices getting ready for their first ever almsround (pindapat)- for the first day, we walked on foot to nearby area.


Leaving Samnak on almsround: it is led by an abbot from a nearby monastery followed by monks and novices under him.

Followed by the Khun Mae, the resident nuns and 8 preceptors.

It is a first time experience for the novices- they walked quite a distance, circling streets and small paths barefoot.




Blessings chant for the lay people for their offering of rice and various requisities.
When the almsround is over, everyone proceeded back to Samnak:
