Staying in Seclusion

14 May 2017- The monks getting ready as they would be staying in seclusion in their individual kutis for 3 days 2 nights.

Participants help to bring food to Kubah and the 5 monks who are practicing in their kutis.

17 May 2017- Evening chanting and puja

The monks, nuns and lay preceptors walked clockwise around the hall chanting Itipiso. It would be the final night for 4 out of 5 participating monks to remain in the robes.
18 May 2017- Taking leave from monkhood and returning to lay life

The photo taken above before the monks took leave from monkhood. One participant from Sri Lanka remained in the robes as he has aspired to undergo ordination for a longer duration.

Kubah performed the disrobing ceremony for the 4 participants.

The participants, reciting the passages of Taking Refuge in the Triple Gem and the Five Precepts.

Khun Mae performed the disrobing ceremony for the nuns. However, one nun remained in the robes until the 24 May.
