Saṅkhārā Paccavekkhaṇa
Contemplation of the Nature of Life
因缘和合法(行)之审查 

Leader: Handa mayaṁ saṅkhārā paccavekkhaṇapāṭhaṁ bhaṇāma se
Let us now recite the passage to contemplate on the impermanent
nature of life.
现在让我们诵念因缘和合法(行)之审查

(ALL, 全体):

Sabbe saṅkhārā aniccā, sabbe saṅkhārā dukkhā, sabbe dhammā anatta
Saṅkhara (formations) are mind-body, all material and mental things, they are Impermanent, once arisen, they cease; possessed, they are lost.
Saṅkhara are mind-body, all material and mental things, they are Suffering, they do not endure, because once born, they age, fall ill, and die.
All dhammas are Non-self – all things, those which are saṅkhara and that which is not, are not ego, are not self, should not be taken as I or mine, as my self or my soul.
诸行无常 (一切因缘和合法无常),诸行是苦 (一切因缘和合法是苦);
诸法无我 (一切法无我)。

Adhuvaṁ jīvitaṁ, dhuvaṁ maraṇaṁ
Life does not last, death is long lasting.
生命不是永恒的,死亡却是肯定的。

Avassaṁ mayā maritabbaṁ, maraṇapariyosānaṁ me jīvitaṁ
I shall surely die, death will be the termination of my life.
我们将会死,那是肯定的,生命的终结即是死亡。

Jīvitaṁ me aniyataṁ, maranaṁ me niyataṁ
Life is uncertain, death is most certain (Our life is impermanent, we could not
maintain it unchangeable, our death is indeed unchangeable.)
我们的生命是无常的,不能保持不变的,我们的死亡才是不变的。

Vata ayaṁ kayo aciraṁ apetaviññāno chuḍḍo
adhisessati paṭhaviṁ kaliṅgaraṁ iva niratthaṁ
Alas, certainly. This body, before long devoid of all consciousness, and discarded as worthless, cast away upon the earth, like a log of wood, useless.
实在的啊! 这个身体,不能长久维持下去的,一旦没有了识,
即被抛弃了,将置于地上,就像朽木一般,没有任何的用处了。

Aniccā vatasaṅkhārā uppādava ya dhammino
Impermanent truly are compounded things, by nature arising and passing away.
一切因缘和合法无常(诸行实无常),生起了灭去是它的法性 (是生灭之法);

Uppajjitvā nirujjhanti, tesaṁ vūpasamo sukho
Having arisen, they cease, their eradication brings happiness.
生起了必将消失,当一切的 “行” 完全止息,寂灭必定现前,
寂灭才是最快乐的。
